What should be done to the Republican Party lawmakers who participated in the attempted coup d'etat, is prosecutions, Short and simple. No mincing of words. Tired of people biting their tongues about what should be done to the people who participated in the attempted coup d'etat in America. America should lead by example by prosecuting the Republican Party lawmakers who participated in the attempted coup d'etat of January 6

If an officer of the law is accused of a charge not becoming a police officer or ignoring their oath, they are suspended from duty immediately... Why not the same for congressmen or women until either proven or disproved

All people involved shall be removed. How can they take an oath too protect and serve our Democracy and try to overthrow it at the same time? This has been an embarrassing, and humiliating for us all to watch play out with no real punishment. I thought no one was ABOVE THE LAW!🤔

Thirty-six former members of the American House of Representatives--both Republicans and Democrats--sent a letter to the Congressional Office of Ethics urging the investigation of all those congresspeople who took part in the planning and support of attempts to prevent the constitutionally mandated transfer of power that culminated in the attempted coup of January 6, 2021.
I do hope that their plea is taken up and executed with vigour.

Use the 14th amendment to disqualify everyone who texted Meadows.

If you're damned if you do, and damned if you don't, you might as well be damned for doing the right thing.
We've been convicting the boots, now it's time to convict the suits.

Twenty years ago if ANYBODY had done these things they would have been instantly and universally condemned. Why aren't they now?

The committee will be damned if they do refer him to the justice department, but only by the criminal and his accomplices. If they don't, they will be damned by everyone else.

They all should be thrown out of office and charged

Here's a simple way to stop gun shops from selling without following procedures: if the gun is used in a crime, the owner of the shop gets the same charge as the perpetrator. It would be fair, imho.

I am soooo sick of legal experts, talking about how we have to be very very careful about indicting the insurrectionist in chief. If any of us had done what he did we’d be in a prison cell. If a head of state did what he did in any number of democratic countries around the world. He’d be in prison, we really need to get over this handling Donald Trump with tender kid gloves BS and lock his treasonous a$$ up.

YES to criminal charges to ALL envolved with organizing, enabling and executing the insurrection!!! Crimes committed need people held accountable for them. The U.S. seems only good at looking good holding guns, but when it comes to taking responsibility for things gone wrong only silence, unless of course some foreign country/person has done something wrong, then the whole country stumbles over each other to hold someone accountable, but own back yard, unfindable apparently!!!

Interesting to hear the inadequate number of employees tasked with enforcing the gun laws on the books. Same with affordable and accessible mental health care, which is also offered as an excuse for gun violence. That excuse has been making the rounds for a few years now, and budgets for community health centers continues to decrease.

I these criminals were in Germany or Peru or many other countries they would be in prison.

Now we know why Meadows was constantly busy on his phone on the 6th of january

Yasmin opined "They're [J6 Committee) is damned if they do / don't make a criminal referral." WRONG! There is no downside to defending democracy against Nazis, or the rule of law against organized crime.

Why haven’t they been removed from office until a full investigation can be completed?
