I have a beautiful 10+ yr Japanese holly hedge that has beautifully been shaped around a spa. Last year, the end died due to the landscapers pruning before the heatwave. (I live in NJ too!!). How would I fix it and round the end of it back?

If I hard oriented all the dead branches off, will it regrow??? I’m sooo upset!!!!

How old are the "very old specimens"? Some websites give Helleri's height as 4', one at 6'. About how tall is it at 10 years if unpruned? PS. Almost all of my plants (zone 7a), get taller than what the tag indicates

Thank you for this video made me confident I picked these. Do you think it would do well near a wood retaining wall?
