It was SO convenient that my existing games carried over without any issue. Only warning was that astros playroom was located on both the M2 and the Pro internal so i had to delete one. Saved me from re-i stalling over 3TB of games.

Thank you for this video! It’s good to know that if you have an M.2 SSD on a PS5 already, you can just remove it and place it in the PS5 Pro without having to reformat! I ordered my PS5 Pro and I should get it this week

Took a little more work than I thought, especially putting the plate back on since I kept putting it in wrong, but I did it! 2 TB SSD slotted into the Pro and I’m loving it. Actually slotting the SSD was scary cuz I thought I was gonna break it or snap it somehow, but the click was really satisfying.

Thanks for the tutorial. I'm going to upgrade my PS5 Slim storage with one of these SSDs when I get the chance. I might just go with a 2TB internal ssd and then get a cheap external ssd later on.

clutch video, bought my second ps5 pro and forgot which panel had the ssd slot, easy as heck, but i did pull the panel from the opposite side as in the video, because of the grooves direction, both my ps5 pro with 8 tb drives oh one is for going portable when i bring it around to demo to friends or family!

Is the screw at 0:24 still ridiculously tight on the Pro? A few years ago I nearly stripped my OG PS5 screw because it was on way too tight (and yes I used the correct size screwdriver)
