Parts of the legend says that whoever goes out of their house after a certain hour(after sunset) they will be counted as an offering by the spirits. My elders used scare me with this in my childhood days and I'd be trembling to even step a foot out the door. I'm not as scared as of now than I used to but I still stay pretty cautious whenever I go out after sunset in Lamtai Thangja.

Actually the real story is far scarier than this one. 😀 I think this is an adaptation of the real story which gave me Goosebumps during my childhood days.

I'm from meitei community, (from northeast India manipur) . All those saroi ngaroi is now born as human and create chaos all over the state in form of corruption, illigal taxation from highways, kidnapping truck driver, stealing vehicles, rampant disturbances to develpment activitys by demanding shares of contract work, and yes some of them becomes cops, and few elite saroi ngaroi becomes elected member of lagislative assembly.

MARKEIA, YOU DON'T KNOW HOW HAPPY I WAS AFTER SEEING THIS!! I had to get off my phone due to exams for a month, but this is SO worth it after coming back! I love how you told this story, this version was the one my elders would tell young couples out in the evening during the month of March. The other version is about a man instead of Henjunaha and his lover.
