One of the best grand finals ever, despite the Dogs running away with it in the last 5 minutes it was an absolute classic, 1 point game with 7 minutes left.

Bulldogs probably deserved it but holy hell that was the most one-sided umpiring affair, and i hate Sydney. Maybe even worse than Richmond Vs Adelaide.

Fun Fact: It was the 5th time the score of ‘89’ featured in the final score line of a GF in 27 years: Collingwood in ‘90, Carlton in ‘93 and ‘99 and Geelong in 2008… and this Dogs team (as I said).

This was always going to be a dogs grand final win, kieren jack takes a mark in the first quarter and the bulldog player takes him out after the mark with no intending of go for the ball could have been 50 any other game ( take the Lloyd one qualifying final 2022 v Melbourne hit Hi 50 metre penalty) so we knew who the umpires wanted to win also penalty count in favor of the dogs

Wasn't long a go when we didn't have to see gay flags in the crowd or have the welcome to country shit...even the umpiring was much better...some of the tackles I saw in this game they would have given three weeks for.
