During his press conference, Union Minister Amit Shah said that Sengol will be kept in the new building. He said that sengol represents gaining control from the British. HM Shah emphasised that one who obtains Sengol is expected to rule justly and fairly. The country's Parliament House is a more ideal location for the founding of Sengol; there is no more suitable, sacred, or appropriate location than the Parliament. Sengol should not be kept in a museum. As a result, when Prime Minister Modi dedicates the Parliament House to the nation, he will be gifted with Sengol from Tamil Nadu. Watch the news to know more.

Sengol is very significant to India which is part of ancient tradition of Bharath and transfer of power.
Bringing ancient civilization symbol such as Sengol signifies the ancient King who ruled and created greatest architectural grandures which still standing majestically for the world to explore the greatest Indian civilization existed thousands of years ago and it is very important of every Indians citizens to be proud and continue our Hindu tradition .
Hopefully, all citizens of India will be proud that the world is beginning to recognise our ancient heritage and India's contribution to world civilization .ஓம்

I am happy with Boycott by the Anti-Indian parties and that is a great thing for Bharath because We don't want any negative energy elements during the auspicious occasion which defines a great stepping stone in the making of the Supper Power Bharath ...

New secretariat in Telungana was opened by CM & not by Governor. In TN new secretariat was opened by Sonia in front of CM Karunanidhi & not by Governor. Parliament Annexure building was inaugurated by Indira Gandhi & not by Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed.

Its strage to see the politicians who once argued Cholas are not Hindus, now boycotting a Chola tradition calling it Hindutva.

Not only cholas, every tamil emperors (from classical era to later pandiya empire) who ruled tamil region always hoist a sengol in thier hands with the ancestral royal crown on thier head and have a special royal flowers (symbolizes thier royal lineage) from their own coronation and in other important ceremonies held during thier regime.

The royal subjects who ruled the vast Tamil land had separate symbolic flowers. The royals of that kingdom put them on their heads.

The Cholas had aathi (aar) as their royal symbolic flower. From the fifth century AD onwards, the Cholas who held a special place in Indian history, visited the fablous Chidambaram Nataraja temple, where they took a holy bath done by the temple priests, with the Valampuri conch which was usually used to anoint lord Nataraja, as a part of their coronation ceremony.

The Cheras, native to the Kerala region, had a symbolic flower made of Young leaves of Palm tree.

Ancient Pandyas used to have Neem flowers as royal symbolic flower. Apart from the scepter (sengol) and royal ornamental crown, the Pandya clan also worn an ornamental chain made of precious jewels, around their neck, presented to them by Devendran (king of paradise) as a symbol of their ancient lineage, during their coronation ceremony.

Thondaimaan emperors (Pallavas/Thirayaras) symbolic flowers was made up of Young stem of Adamant creepers (Tondaikkodi).
And as their distinguishing feature, they keep the Katvanga symbol of Lord Shiva in their hands as the rightful scepter (sengol). Their royal symbol is a bull called Nandi. That is what we see in the current scepter (sengol) presented by, his holiness, Thiruaavaduthurai Atheenam.

As suggested by Rajaji, Nehru requested Tiruvaduthurai Adinam to arrange for Sengol & he received from British as mark of getting independence.

Why is Ashutosh flying off the handle? Can't understand why a simple mention of Hindu enrages a person ? Another point is the new Parliament is for the people of this country and a boycott will not make any impact as people rejoice in having a new Parliament built by govt of India.
