They seem to drop from the "active" (idk how else to call them) cysts. If you open the map, you'll see there's only one cyst mission showing per region even though there are two birds. Do those and they seem to have the glowing enemies, therefore the vestiges of light. Hope this helps, good luck! EDIT: you can delete as many as you want, I've deleted like 20 of them from inventory and postmaster. There's also a known bug that if you have any other *COMPLETE* memory in inventory, you have to either use it or ditch it so you can grab another, regardless of light or dark memory.

You have to do the chests in order from the beginning aka the landing sight in the pale heart. If you have a purple orb in inventory use that memory on the chest and continue. If you have 10 blues and no purples delete all but 4 (even the ones in post master), restart game and start at the cyst before the last fragment chest you opened.

Hope I described it right. I just did this and it worked to get the right memories for the chest I wanted. Which was for this one.

Basically, the cysts and chests are meant to be done in order from the beginning of the destination.

could not find the chest. really sneaky on bungie. that helped me with my other subclass one. i looked for sneaky places in the next one and found it. thanks.

Update on the memory light fragments. 11:57pm 06-10-24 central time. I deleted all fragments in my post master and deleted 2 fragments from my 10 in my inventory and got my first ever actual purple memory. Now I was able to confirm that if you have the quest alone in the dark and on the final step where you kill the boss, you can farm the ads till you get memory light fragments. Luckily I fixed it and got all 3 to drop within 10 minutes of doing this. I personally think it is on a rotate cyst mission. My mission was in the transgression and was the one where you can’t fly and can only walk and shoot blights. Again it’s my theory on how I think the fragments are dropping but are on rotate, my other theory is it’s a slight possibility it’s just luck. But then again I ran 25 today and didn’t get any but once I deleted all in post master and plus 1 in inventory it fixed. But who knows at this point. Also it doesn’t work if you replay the missions without the quest you don’t get fragments, however that’s from doing it only 6 times. Hope this helps.

I have max Memory Vestige: Light, but they are never converting into Memory: Seclusions of Light. I see no way to force the conversion. What's the trick here?

The Chest is not there for me, Bungie did a horrende job with the sidequest design. Really bad
