The lay down actions make it easier to not worry quite so much about acquiring the "best" country board. Really an ingenious twist on the worker placement mechanism!

Looks interesting, have to watch for a chance to try it out.
Oh and as for the infinite board it is a mechanism/fold pattern from cardmaking (like birthday cards ) it is a fun trick and I won’t be surprised to see more uses of it in games. Makes for a lot of variety without having to have way more components 👍🏻👍🏻

How many pieces? ALL OF THE PIECES! (Then again, tracking resources on boards instead - like e.g. Ave Roma does - takes up table space too.)

I have to say I'm getting more and more skeptical of ManVsMeeple reviews. Originally I was enamoured by how these guys distanced themselves from the pact. The more time has gone on, the more these guys (especially Jeremy) shy away from clearly stating their opinions about a game. I'm not accusing them of anything but this style does sort of support some of the negative claims I've been reading about their channel.
