If that is major damage, they have lived a long sheltered life

"To my left here trees are all on the ground" 2:11 Camera swings to the left and shows all the trees still standing.

Instead of expressing thanks for the rain, everything is fear. Oh my, a light pole fell over.

Las Vegas “we need RAIN, the rivers & reservoirs are drying up”. Also Las Vegas, “we got rain & it was devastating & caused floods”

I had to smile when he said, *Trees are all on the ground.* Then they panned over to a single branch on the ground. 😄😊

I cant believe all those leaves on the ground, it s going to take months to cleanup that huge mess. People in the Gulf and Florida are thankful nothing like this happens in their area.

I was in Tucson Arizona in August 1997 during monsoon season - never seen rain like that in my life - our flight out was delayed by a couple of hours for the rain to stop.

How much of that water makes it into lake Mead? Or does the drainage end up in the river below the dam.

The media thrives on drama, always making a mountain out of a mole hill. I’ve lived in the Vegas area off and on since 1963 and the monsoon activity in the summer and fall brings torrential rain, wind and flooding. Nuff said 🤷🏻‍♂️

Lol we get storms like this multiple times every fall and spring…no one from the media ever shows up

That did not happen from a 60mph wind. Vegas has 60mph winds all the time.

How about this; put the lines underground. It's the 21 century. It would eliminate this happening. This means customers can be without power for 2-3 days perhaps.

In the 80's and 90's Vegas would get storms like that every year, it's called monsoon season. Hail in June, July, and August. The decline in grass yards, and increase in concrete and "desert landscaping", i.e. rocks, during the early 2000's, made the valley hotter, which pushed the moisture around the mountains. Hopefully the monsoons will return to a yearly event for the valley.

At 1:53 I seen GREEN GRASS in the background. Watering grass in a hot desert climate. What happens when Lake Meade dries up completely?? You won't have water for grass, drinking water, and to make electricity at the Hoover Dam. Does California like to even a "tone down event" of what happened in 2018/2019 winter season? Snowmelt from the Sierras filled the Orville Reservoir Lake that water was thought to overflow the dam itself. That damaged spillway cost over 2 billion dollars to repair.
