In this clip, Yung Joc detailed how people are unaware of what snitching actually is and what the parameters are. He noted that taking the stand against someone who caused harm to you or your loved ones isn’t considered snitching unless it was the result of mutual street activity. He also provided an interesting analogy to sum up why taking considering the streets as a viable option to make something of yourself is a bad play that’s been repeated over and over again.

Thanks Joc... snitching only applies if you are involved in criminal activity with someone else and you snitching. It does not apply to regular life, crimes against civilians, etc. It only applies if everyone involved signed up for the streets and chose to live the code.

I’m not a street dude, far from it. But I will never understand someone who could watch a child being molested, or an old lady getting hit in the back of the head for a pocketbook robbery and have some loyalty to the streets to never work with law-enforcement. Some people ass really need to be locked up!!! The snitch code only helps the criminal and continue to victimize the victims.

As black people we will never EVER get ahead in society and this country until we stop glorying street lifestyles, letting the neighborhoods suffer because everyone in it feels saying anything to better it is snitching! We got serial killers, drug dealers, and more in the hood but we feel our code is not to snitch! Gang violence is adorable to black youth…NBA, being a Rapper, or a street legend seems to be the same type of plan for so many black communities even tho more die or go to prison than they do having a successful career and family. When does it end??
