Foam wirst rest suck, you would think it's like resting your wirst on a soft pillow but the intended way to use a rest dictates it needs to be some what of a firm foam.
I always find myself using the keyboard without the foam rest which I never do when using the wood wirst rest. Just to give a couple of guys considering a rest prepective.
Also humidity is also a concern, or if you have sweaty hands. It always feels damp which is pretty unpleasent.

Perhaps a silicone palm rest combines the best of each: it's not as hard as wood, won't shine as much over time as foam, nor wear out as quickly

Beware, they may use different wood from what they show online. I ordered from them specifically because of the dark brown walnut coloured wood they use, but low and behold, what I got was way lighter and exactly the kind of wood I wanted to avoid (it’s kind of a gross yellow; I’d post a picture if I could). Their response was that this is due to natural colour variations but I disagree, this is a completely different wood that’s being used. Or they used the wrong stain. Either way, it’s nothing like what they show online so expect huge variations in colour.

I posted a review of this on their website but since I gave it 1-star, they deleted it. Their website reviews aren’t as honest as they appear because it’s curated for a certain outcome.

I just replaced my foam wrist rest with the wooden Keychron one. I like it so far. The foam one I had ended up looking worn out and decrepit pretty quickly.
