Even watching videos or seeing images of spiders, scorpions and other species of arachnids i start to sweat and palpitate. i freeze up when i see a spider in the vicinity. Dammit arachnophobia

People get annoyed with me when I ask them to get rid of the spider for me. I hate all spiders, but I mostly hate large ones. Earlier today there was a huge spider on the ceiling of my room and I stood there frozen for about 5 minutes. I started panicking not knowing what to do and I started crying due to a nervous break down or anxiety attack. My mom finally got rid of it for me and I’m still shaking. I just hate spiders so much and just wish people will learn to accept the fact that I have a large fear of spiders 💀

edit: it’s been 2 years since i’ve posted this comment wow. anyways, i have actually gotten better with spiders! i’m still very scared of them but i’ve gotten better at getting rid of them without having to have someone else do it. big spiders r still a no though 😂

I suffer from severe arachnophobia, ever since I was 8. I experience deep anxiety, become immobile, my heart rate spikes, I sweat profusely, my whole body tenses, and the worst thing is while I see the spider it’s okay, when I don’t see it anymore, I freak out. I have a deep desire to flee the place, on the other hand I have a need to feel absolute safety, so it takes me a while, but I muster enough courage and kill the spider.

Honestly, I’m not scared of being bitten by one, I’m scared about them coming near me and or walking on me. It’s the way they move and the fear of them hiding somewhere on my body in my room/house and laying eggs.

I'm not scared of the bite. I'm scared of the way their legs move, their speed, the way they can climb so there is nowhere to run. One time, i there was an event in the m town's mall where you could see caged spiders. The spiders were kept good and safe for everyone and everything. But the moment a larger tarantula (as big as my hand) quickly jumped down from the top of the cage and looked at me i nearly screamed and jumped. It was like a reflex, i couldn't stop it or do anything about it. I knew i was safe.

I got arachnophobia.
When I wanted to grill after a year, there was a big spider in our grill and no one other than me in the house, so I picked a spoon and I tried to scare away the spider. But the spider jumped on the spoon and tried to attack me and because I panicked I've thrown away the spoon with the spider on it and it flew right against our neighbours window and caused a crack. Since then I fear spiders even more. 😂
