Lung cancer screening

UCLH has a comprehensive lung cancer service and we see both local secondary referrals and tertiary referrals from across the UK. Our results in the National Lung Cancer Audit are outstanding.

We are the Cancer Research UK’s Lung Cancer Centre of Excellence, together with Manchester, in recognition of our outstanding lung cancer service, expertise and ambition in lung cancer research.

We treat patients with lung cancer, thymoma, mesothelioma, tracheal cancers and other rare lung tumours.

We run a rapid diagnostics clinic in the University College Hospital Macmillan Cancer Centre, which offers rapid diagnostic tests including CT, MRI and PET CT/MR for patients with suspected lung cancer.
