Winter weather update 12-24-2021: Severe winter weather is on its way

A state of emergency is in effect in the state as winter weather approaches.

I need to know if this is actually happening. I flew to Oregon in 2017 and was prepared for driving in snow. However, it was big chunks of ice with no one treating the roads and horrible drivers. Nightmare and improperly handled. I am supposed to fly there tomorrow for business, but will cancel.
