When Robber came along, he just brought her in on his side of his schemes, scams, and manipulations. TLC was well aware of all of it, and they too exploited it all as much as they could too. I don't see Christine and Janelle as friends. I think they genuinely see each other as family. You don't have to be super close or see each other every day. They don't have to agree on everything. You can get into arguments and still love each other as family. They love each other's kids. They have a bond. I believe it's a relationship they want to protect for the sake of the children and grandchildren.
