I took around three to four days to make this, aaaa. Okay, this is my first ever Animatic, so please do forgive me for it's countless flaws *It may also be a bit loud* !

This wonderful cover I used belongs to Annapantsu, my favourite Youtube singer so far. I honestly feel mesmerized whenever I hear her, and it inspired me to do this.

wow... this is amazing. the other animatics ive seen based off annas cover seem to portray it as a secret gay desire, but your truly and amazingly captures the true, yet terrifying, meaning of this song. and that is pure lust and creepy desire coming from Frolo. not forbidden gay love but intense and straight up obsessiveness and i love it. keep up the good work

1:06 is what I particularly love about annapantsu's version of this song. When she sings "why", her voice shakes, as if she's scared. That fear is part of what makes the song; Frollo has prided himself/herself on their "purity", and they've never felt this strongly before. This is more heightened here, as homosexuality was considered a sin. Claudia would be more in fear of these same-sex desires. The fact that Esmeralda is Romani is another factor, since Frollo hates the Gypsies and wants to commit genocide against them (come on, who doesn't get Amon Goeth vibes here? If you've seen Schindler's List, you'd understand what I mean).

Believe me, I agree with the other commentators; this isn't about forbidden love, as much as it makes Frollo more fascinating. The song is about lust and obsession, and about Frollo retaining her sense of purity by destroying the object of desire if she can't have her. You conveyed this perfectly in the animation.

Wow. The gender swap really changes the meaning. A holy woman discovers her love for a gypsy girl, but gets stuck in a Battle against her self and society. She loves Esmeralda but homosexuality is “a sin” and society of the time would strip her of her status *and possibly even execute* her if she loved another woman, especially a gypsy like Esmeralda. Unlike claude frollo, you can feel some sympathy for this woman(who’s Name I am guessing is Claudia Frolllo) and you may even find some justification in her actions, if she was driven insane by the fact that she could not be with the woman whom she loved. As a lesbian, with a religious mother this *really* hits home for me.

This is really really good. I've been searching up Hellfire Animatics for the majority of the past hour and this one's expressions are ON POINT! You don't convey emotion with color but just the RAW EMOTION in the such detailed EXPRESSIONS and CHARACTER POSES! I'm awestruck!
