I have opted for the zlx 12 g2. It's on the way so will report back here with my thoughts.

OK so I received the 12inch and can say the quality of audio is excellent and weight is very manageable. I would rate this highly.

One weird quirk with BT, connected the app via Android phone and can adjust everything but my music from phone is not streaming to the speaker. I'm assuming a firmware problem so EV reply to my comment and I can further elaborate if needed.
