The iphone 12 pro max is quite a good upgraded iphone. I recommend that people with iphone 10 above need not upgrade to iphone 12 or iphone 12 pro max even if it has better high grade camera, as most people need camera only for selfies or family/friend photos, unless the iphone upgrade is a significant upgrade from below iphone 10 models. Since 5G network is being introduced for the 1st time it consumes more battery, if you can wait until next year September, the Iphone 13 and iphone 13 pro max would come with higher battery life and higher refresh rate of 120 hertz and that too if you really need the upgrade, otherwise current models are also fine.

Sorry to burst your bubble...Linus is actually pretty stoked about the new M1. He's continually dropping spoilers about how great Its performance is going to be in Anthony's reviews. He's made it very clear that he's impressed with M1 overall, shocked by Rosetta II, and even hopeful that this could push the ARM PC industry forward. Also he considers his comment about the M1 MacBook Pro being an iPad with a touchbar to be a positive comment. Linus has been massively impressed with the iPad of late, and in his mind (and I'm sure many others' minds) M1 signifies the Mac lineup finally catching up with the performance of the iOS lineup.

One common theme in reviews of the the M1 Air and 13"-MBP M1 has been that the Air is just as good as the MBP.

Apple isn't going to have that conclusion stand for long as the next generation M1X (MX2?) with a mechanical redesign will put clear distance between the Air and MBP lines.

The PRO versions will have truly Pro specs, performance and prices.

By WWDC the software suppliers of all the major suites and major SW products will have the M1 figured out. This will fit well for some awesome new designs of the MBP to replace the J. Ive machines. More ports etc etc.

Apple will be well into their two year transition away from Intel.

I think that the coverage from Linus on the M1 chip has been great, and I don't think he is as negative about it as you claim. Remember that it is from a PC guys perspective. I actually think he is being pretty objective about it. I really like your videos, but you could also be more objective about Apple products. I have never owned a Mac myself, but I might actually get an M1 MacBook air.

Windows user here (also running many Linux PCs as HTPCs) - I did not care for the recent LTT coverage on the Apple M1 systems for the same reasons you outlined in this (and a previous) video.

I look forward to getting my hands on a system powered by the Apple M1 SoC to really see what it can do - with the included apps and the others that I care about and regularly use (Handbrake, Microsoft Office, etc. etc.).
