So much so, consumers now rate customer service as the most important factor when deciding to do business with a company.

Interesting video- he states that customer service is now the main reason and factor customers want to do business with a company; however, with the technological advances in the modern day, more and more opportunities for interactive customer service are being substituted with automated A.I. systems. This video is 9 years old, so I wonder what an updated version would look like! This video was pre-Pandemic...

customer service is bad today because corporations have grown too big and have this too big to fail mentality. They forget that us happy customers allow them to become empires.

I completely agree with the importance of customer service, as well as all thee strategies posited here. Quick question though - what are your sources? Some of these graphs seem a little misleading without any contextual evidence.

too bad corporations think money just grow on trees and someone just picks them up for them to take every week while doing busy work. The desk jockies forget that the customers the pays the company and then the company pays them.

Sounds a lot like someone from marketing came up with the video and made the stats up then looked at how good it sounds and patted each other on the back.

If you honestly think customer service is the number 1 driver for a customer to feel “the love” that is utter BS. They mainly want what they paid for and what was sold to them plain and simple, not a poor product or service backed by smiles and happiness.
