Learn how to add tooltips to PDFs in Adobe Acrobat. Specifically, we will add tooltips to forms and navigation buttons.

Tooltips are short pieces of information that appear when users hover their cursor over interactive elements.

These steps are for Adobe Acrobat DC, Adobe Acrobat 2020, and Adobe Acrobat 2017. In addition, the steps are the same for PC and Mac.

Erin, I watched your video and very informative. One thing I didn't find in your tutorial is the arrow and line. I can use shapes but not arrow and lines. It simply doesn't stay. For example I am editing a picture and write comments and then want to put arrow to show the location; when i do so arrow shows but the moment move the mouse, it will disappear. However if I use a shape like oval, it stays there. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you
