There's callbacks to all the themes we hear when we reach the surface in the first game - the ocean overview, Persephone's abode, In the Blood as they travel back to the place they belong. It really feels like Supergiant heard all the folks who said they wished they could go to the surface more in the first game and said "what if I could do you one better?"

Tears lowkey rolled into my eyes when I heard Persephone's garden theme at the end there...

Hearing On The Coast when I first reached Olympus earlier gave me those feelings of beating Hades for the first time, incredible callback

So THAT'S why they got a whole new orchestra!! BRILLIANT!

This song is a testament to what they made until this point, surpass themselves in every aspect, the end of the first game was just the beggining of a new adventure...

I'm so glad that as part of Supergiant going all out for Hades II, we get even more orchestral tracks in the soundtrack. Just superb.

Ohh this - this is epic and also so so clever: it takes On the Coast and builds from it; like that original theme, so elegant but simple, was always a thread pulled from a tapestry. Of course Persephone's garden was a little piece of Olympus - of course it was. Words fail me, this is so -ing good all on its own and also as part of the bigger narrative

Gave me chills when I first heard it in game, absolutely love the callback to the old Persephone theme.

God tier OST. Not afraid to admit I teared up a little hearing this for the first time the other night, esp. w/ the context from Hades. Had to just let the vibes wash over me before moving onward. Proceeded to decimate some fools right when this reached full-tilt. All-time gaming moment of the year for me, personally.

Although the surface as an environment was heavily alluded to in the recent major update, I was not ready for the musical themes from Hades 1's take on it to return like this. From 3:40 onward, I was truly gut-punched w/ the added choir and horns.

When I first heard On The Coast, I thought to myself, this is the most beautiful song I have ever heard, and probably will ever hear. I had a feeling there would be a reprise in the sequel and was just happy I would get to hear the same melodies again. Never in a million years did I think Darren would somehow top the original and make an even more beautiful, moving and serene piece. Hats off to you, Korb. Thank you for giving your genius to this game.

If they use the later half of this song for the family's reunion, it will be the end of me

3:35 to 4:40 is some of the absolute hardest shit I've ever heard. Darren Korb is fantastic, Immaculate, even.

3:42 ...After a long hard search for a new home, you somehow stumbled upon a hidden clearance in the woods between Olympus and mortal realms.
An area untouched by clamity and strife. As you opt to get a closer look, you can't help but take note of a faint heavenly presence in the air.

It's Persephone's garden on the surface, a cosy little place once protected from the wraith of ever-changing seasons.

But alas, the changing of times has now set upon this humble abode.

The well-kept greenery has long since consumed itself among the thickets. Any signs of the goddesse's handiwork were lost under the shadow of the setting sun.
