It appears you go to these places just to paint (and eat) the local foods. The history and the scenery are just window dressing for the chow. It is a wonder you are not overweight. It must be all the walking you put in before stopping to sketch and eat. I do enjoy what you provide. Interesting places I will most likely never get to see are literally given to me to enjoy. Loved this, and it was great seeing glimpses of Vietnam, one of my favorite places that I have ever visited (and banh mi is the greatest sandwich in the world imo!) My favorite archeological site that I've visited was Angkor Wat; I loved seeing and learning about the Hindu and Buddhist influences in the temples I saw, but really my favorite part was the Cambodian people I met who were so proud and resilient when talking about their country's incredibly difficult history.

Hi Alvin !! Glad to see ( at last !) Your video ! I m taking inspiration as I m going to visit Vietnam in January 😊Hoi an is on our road, unfortunately not My son site... but the last part of my trip is siem reap, Cambodia so, I will see so much Temples !! And hope to sketch this time👍 Not the most famous Angkor temples, I visited 5 years ago, but much more "confidential sites" . Thank you for sharing !!

I think it’s interesting that you have chosen gouache to urban sketch. I find it takes so long to dry between layers. Otherwise I would love to use my gouache. How do you manage the drying time?

Borobudur and Prambanan with Matt and Ayutthaya with Nat. Jogja was super wet, Ayutthaya was super hot.. lol
