As a christian, I fasted for 20 days, only drinking water. Later on I realised that Self-affliction doesn't mean spiritual enlightenment.
Here is what the prophet Isaiah says about fasting:

Isaiah 58:3
3 Wherefore have we fasted, say they, and thou seest not? wherefore have we afflicted our soul, and thou takest no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your fast ye find pleasure, and exact all your labours.

4 Behold, ye fast for strife and debate, and to smite with the fist of wickedness: ye shall not fast as ye do this day, to make your voice to be heard on high.

5 Is it such a fast that I have chosen? a day for a man to afflict his soul? is it to bow down his head as a bulrush, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under him? wilt thou call this a fast, and an acceptable day to the Lord?
Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?

7 Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?

8 Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the Lord shall be thy reward.

9 Then shalt thou call, and the Lord shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;

10 And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noon day:

11 And the Lord shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.

No Muslim is a Muslim if he doesn’t Believes in Jesus (pbuh)

We Muslims Believe Jesus (pbuh) will come to earth again by the will of Allah and he will kill the Anti-Christ,
We Muslims Believe Jesus (pbuh) was born miraculously by the will of Allah,
We Muslims Believe Jesus (pbuh) did miracles by the permission of Allah,
We respect Jesus (pbuh),
We follow the teachings of Jesus (pbuh),
We love Jesus (pbuh),
BUT We Never Worship Him,  

We Worship Only Allah Who Has Sent Messengers like :- Muhammed, Jesus, Abraham, Moses, Jonah Etc (pbuh on all)
Allah had sent Messengers to worship Allah not to Worship Messengers like Jesus (pbuh).

Jesus (pbuh) himself Never said “Im God” also Never he said anyone to “Worship Me”

Jesus Was Just A Prophet And Messenger Of Allah Only To Guide The People Of Bani Israel,

[Quran:- Ch:3, Verse 55] -
“Allah said:- "O Jesus, indeed I will take you and raise you to Myself and purify you.”


[Quran:- Ch:61, Verse 6] :-
And remember,  The Christ Jesus, the son of Mary, said: "O Children of Israel! I am the messenger of Allah sent to you, confirming the Law which came before me, and giving Glad Tidings of a Messenger to come after me, whose name shall be “Ahmad”. But when he came to them with Clear Signs, they said, “This is evident sorcery!“ [Ahmad is another name of Muhammed (pbuh)]


[Quran:- Ch:4, Verse 171] :- 
O People of the Book! Commit no excesses in your religion, Nor say of Allah aught but the truth. Christ Jesus the son of Mary was (no more than) a messenger of Allah, and His Word, which He bestowed on Mary, and a spirit proceeding from Him, So believe in Allah and His messengers. Say not "Trinity" : desist: it will be better for you: for Allah is one Allah: Glory be to Him: (far exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belong all things in the heavens and on earth. And enough is Allah as a Disposer of affairs.


[Quran:- Ch:4, Verse 157] :-
“That they said, "We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah, but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no certain
knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not”

Jesus fasted 40 days because he followed the word of God. He was sinless. That means when he was in human form on this earth he was still above us all because he was a perfect son of God. If you live without sin in this world then you are holy. The father was always looking after his son Jesus because he lived based om the word of God. The father gave Jesus strength to fast for 40 days. We followers of Christ have sinned and it means we are tainted. It is not humanly possible for us to fast for 40 days because we are not perfect. Jesus loves you

Narrated Abu Huraira:

Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "The prayer of a person who does Hadath (passes urine, stool or wind) is not accepted till he performs the ablution." A person from Hadaramout asked Abu Huraira, "What is 'Hadath'?" Abu Huraira replied, " 'Hadath' means the passing of wind."
