H Man I love you my brother. My best friend and ex wife Ally passed away in 2016, I will never get over it. I was doing a concert with Shalamar about 7/8 weeks later . Ally loved this song and H had never sung this live in a Shalamar gig or in years and years. He sang it in one of the shows dedicating the song to Ally even singing her name 4 times. I was in tears. He sang it unbelievable. H is like my brother. Shalamar are here now touring and H man I will never forget what you did . Love ❤ you brother 🎶🎼🎤

Why does there need to be a debate over versions? First & foremost, it's just an incredible amazingly perfect powerful SONG. When you have a timeless song like this, all any singer needs to do is just show up & not mess up. And a great song can be done in various genres & still be great....Love Howie's version, love the Eagles version, love Brownstone's version....
