1976 Hoover Junior U1016 ( The Rare Dirtseacher) unboxing and first look(Part of the 70s collection)

It was manufactured on 02/06/1976 so it is just over 41 years old .with a few parts and TLC It will be a great machine again.This machine in my mind is the Rarest standard hoover Dirtseacher model as they wasn't widely available .To have this one in the collection is a amazing and looking forward to getting it back to its former glory. .( I WOULD LIKE THANK ALAN FOR PARTING WITH IT) please like and subscribe.

The rating plate does not show the day of the month of manufacture, only the year and month. The date code on this is only 3 numbers, not 5. on this machine it is 602, and that means 1976, month 02, meaning February, so this machine was made in February 1976. Its very nice and could be confused with a 1960s model, which also had a brown bag, but no 1960s model had a brown dirtsearcher lamp on the front, even though the machine looks 1960s. Its very nice indeed and I'm sure Daddy and Kyle feel  very lucky and happy to have it!

Nice hoover got a Dyson dc 03 standard and a dyson dc 05 absolute plus the dc 05 I think has a blown up motor

If that's the original light bulb, that must be the oldest working light bulb ever!!!! OH yes cleaning takes a while, I restored my car headlamps as they were yellowing, tho if you can get it as clean as that 1935 hoover it will look virtually as new. I don't usually spend time polishing up vacuum cleaners, tho that car headlamp polish reduced a few scuffs on my Miele S716!!!!
