A Battle-class destroyer, built at a British shipyard, that could have been purchased by the government of Argentina, which sought to strengthen its Navy in the post-war decades. Following the Argentine Navy's tradition in the first half of the 20th century to name destroyers after provinces, the ship was named after the La Pampa Province, located in the center of the Argentina’s territory. Unlike other Battle-class destroyers in the game such as Jutland, La Pampa is geared towards torpedo gameplay - she sacrifices her rear turret for an extra rack of torpedoes, bringing her total up to 15 tubes, rivalling the legendary Shimakaze. The torpedoes themselves have medium range and a comfortable blend of characteristics. Great concealment will allow her to outspot other destroyers and conduct torpedo attacks from close range. Complementing her torpedo armament is a strong set of consumables: Torpedo Reload Booster will allow her to put up to 30 fish in the water at once, while Specialized Repair Teams and Smoke Generator will give her substantial survivability. While all of her consumables come with a long cooldown time, Combat Instructions charged with torpedo hits and time spent undetected can be used to reduce it. Key weaknesses of the ship include a low base hitpoint pool, a weak main battery, and slow speed with no access to Engine Boost.

In gameplay, La Pampa will function best as an invisible assassin, using her concealment to avoid being spotted and launching devastating torpedo attacks with the aid of her Torpedo Reload Booster. While not the strongest against enemy Destroyers in a direct engagement, La Pampa can outspot most of her tiermates and is capable of recovering a lot of of the damage taken if forced to engage in a gunfight.

La Pamapa has officially powercrept a supership. Kunming can get 30 torpedoes in the water at a time, but can’t hit destroyers or subs with them. Thanks to the combat instructions though, which this one is by far the easiest to proc, that’s 45 torps that can hit all ship types. I will hate to see the day that La Pamapa gets played as a triple div. 135 torps on the water at one time all concentrated on a single cap zone sounds like an absolute nightmare to deal with.

I agree with post about WG making more lower tier premiums. We cannot all afford to spend £30 or more on pixels. Also, it would be fantastic if WG had a game mode for tiers 1-4, not everyone wants games with subs and planes. I really like low tier ships, but nobody really plays them. Great review as always.

Nice boat! Since torp dpm is unreliable good to have the option to make it a gun boat! Hope it works! How much of damage it can repair CC?

This things looks insane, first you launch 15 torps, than hit the consumable torp reload to get another 15 torps out and then THEN you use the combat instructions to get your topedo reload consumable back to fire another 15 torps, so this is 45 torps in what maybe 10 seconds? And mind you those aren't low damage jager torps those are regular damage torps.

WG needs to go back to making lower tier premiums. Enough with the Tier 9 and Tier 10. 10 is the most hated tier.
