The problem had to do with the ban concerning Korea and China — UNIQ was made up of both nationalities in order to appeal to both markets specifically, but that backfired when Yibo and Yixuan (the Chinese members of the group) found themselves unable to rejoin or collaborate with their Korean colleagues. If you follow Yibo’s career (there are videos on that) you will know that he was essentially left floating because all his training and his naturally reticent character meant that he had always been groomed by his talent company to be in a group. However, his talent and hardworking attitude managed to win him a co hosting spot on DayDay Up, which gave him more exposure. He then turned to acting, singing, and modeling, and — if I am not mistaken — is widely considered to be the most successful out of all five in terms of his solo career.

I remember seeing their debut! They were really great. I didn't recognize Yibo at first when I watched The Untamed, but when I saw him smile in the behind the scenes footage I knew immediately who he was. He's got an unforgettable smile!

After X1 disbanded after 2 years due to the Produce voting manipulation scandal Seungyoon/Woodz continued as a soloist releasing 6 more albums until he had decided to not renew his contract with Yueha. He then went on to sign under Edam Entertainment, home to IU.

the heart breaking truth as a Unicorn is that there is no chance at all to have them perform as 5 members again.. Seungyoun (woodz) already left yuehua... no idea on sungjoo though. and yibo only recontract until 2026..

They trained in yg for 4 years along side winner ikon and blackpink .. that's why when they first debut you can see the yg blood in them .. comeback joseyo .🙏

This is one of the sad occurrence happened to the lively, full of passion and energetic plus all good looking of the young men back then. I feel sorry for them all. I also knew them through Yibo and really like the atmosphere of how they lived, worked, played all their interactions to each other.

Thank you for this video. I found this group after watching the Untamed series and was curious about Yibo when I found out Woodz was also in this group i looked them up. And like you my favorite song is Eoeo is my favorite song. I was wondering what happened to the group. Woodz (Cho Seung-youn) is my bias even though I found the group through Wibo.

Weren't they trained at YG pre-debut? Since Yuehua was a partner/subsidiary of YG, not JYP. That's what I knew.

I got to know about them bcuz of yibo, they definitely had potentials as a grp bcuz all the members are very talented & i think grp unable to continue bcuz of hallyu ban it's such a shame what happen to this grp.
But i don't think yibo will return as an idol again he kinda grew alot in china as an artist, athlete & influencial figure but biggest problem in c-ent is, it's wayy toxic than kpop. & woodz parted his ways with yuehua too so idk ever uniq member will get a reunion...but company should have atleast give a closure if they unable to continue uniq bcuz i have seen there are still people who waiting for them it's unfair for those people.

I feel they never broke up. Maybe they will get together whenever YH annual party happens. Of coz at the moment it’s kinda hard to get together since SJ is enlisted. I do miss them together. 😢❤ I’ve notice whenever YIxuan get together with Yibo, he still look after him. Which is sweet.
