Oslo Panel for Palestine

Before a live audience in Oslo, the panel – featuring Mustafa Barghouti, Mads Gilbert, Ilan Pappe, and Ingrid Fiskaa – discusses and critically explores three key areas: the present moment where Gaza remains under constant genocidal attack from Israel; the so-called “legitimacy” of the rules-based order (including but not limited to international law) that’s supposed to prevent or stop such violence; and the future of rebuilding Gaza in a way that actually honours the hopes, dreams and aspirations of the Palestinian people.

The panel is moderated by Paul Salvatori, senior producer and presenter at TRT World.

Ok here where I am, we are starting a new project on raising awareness that the entire healthcare system in Gaza has been destroyed. The level of awareness is just pitiful. BUT, I think we will link this nascent project to Dr.Pappe's word "context". I think if he has become aware of the hysterical reactions to discussing the historical context, then that is where to hit, because its THE weak spot. We are going to develop this idea trying to move it on many fronts into the conversation AND at the standouts. Outstanding discussion. Expressing gratitude to these beacons of knowledge and ways to move forward!

All European support for Israel must be formally withdrawn - including all trade and financial agreements. And sanctions must be imposed, the ICC supported, arrest warrants issued for war crimes and Israel brought to justice and judged and sentenced to pay reparations.

Dr. Bargouti makes a totally logical argument about the Palestinian people’s right to be recognized as equal human beings. I think he deserves an honest answer from the Israeli government.

Salute to the great panelists for fighting for justice, liberty and dignity for all. Corrosion of international law and order can have consequences for not only the oppressed Palestinians today but might have god forbid same consequences for the other parts of the world. It is essential to stop the occupation, apartheid and oppression immediately by the entire world. There should be severe consequences for the perpetrators.
