Trump says raking forests could help prevent wildfires

I live in Finland. And I can confirm Mr. Trump was saying the truth. We Finnish people rake our forests every day. If you have ever attended any university in Finland, you're obligated to take the Raking The Forest class.

He is not wrong. Forest management. Cut down more trees, clean up bushes, remove flammable material and segment out your forest. That will definitely help to prevent wide spread of larger fire.

The funniest thing here is the fact that as stupid as it sounds, he was actually using the correct terms and talking about a procedure they do on a weekly basis here to prevent wildfires! Yes, they do actually rake the forests, with BRUSH rakes. It's all about clearing the "logging waste" from the site.

You people do realize he’s talking about a forestry rake on a dozer, right? Generally, it’s a rake with a tree spear for toppling dead trees. It’s used to clear the underbrush that would otherwise become fuel for forest fires in a dry season.
