Swiss Popular Music Fest 2023: only 1 year away!

The Swiss Popular Music Fest has been held every four years since 1971: 50 years ago, the first major musical event was held in Sargans, still bearing the name "Eidgenössisches Ländlermusikfest". In 2023, this event will be called the "Festa Federale della Musica Popolare" and will be hosted in Bellinzona, for the first time in the Canton of Ticino! The aim is to make music for everyone, to connect musical styles, to organise free concerts and competitions, to look together both forward and back. Our future, the future of our young musicians, will obviously be part of this great event!
With over 200 bands and several hundred musicians, Bellinzona will host a rich programme of concerts, events, processions and musical competitions in its historic centre. In restaurants, bars, streets and squares, four days of festivities are expected with an influx of around 100,000 people following the event.
