Layer 3 Curriculum: 6VPE Concept

This video is from the MPLS VPN section of our L3 Curriculum. With no more IPv4 addresses available the networking world is moving IPv6. Since IPv4 is the most dominant network layer protocol, ISPs have a major part of their backbone network still running on IPv4. IPv6 is a new internet protocol which requires hardware of software upgrades on the existing core network element. 6VPE is a technique to carry IPv6 traffic from customers over IPv4 infrastructure. This video explains how it is done, what are the minimum upgrades required and it's significance.
