He was born as Álvaro Tauchert Soler in Barcelona, Spain to a German father and a Spanish-Belgian mother. He grew up bilingual at a young age and moved to Japan at the age of 10 where he stayed until he was 17 where he took piano lessons. After his return to Barcelona he was in a band called 'Urban Lights' with his brother and some friends. In 2014 he decided to drop the band to persue a solo career. He moved to Berlin where he released his first solo single 'El Mismo Sol' in 2015. It became a huge hit, especially in Italy where it topped the charts, but also in Poland and Switzerland. His debut album 'Eterno Agosto' (Eternal August) was released a couple of months later and topped the charts in Poland, Italy and Switzerland and peaked at #5 in Germany. It has been certified triple platinum in Poland and platinum in Italy. His next single 'Sofia' also topped the charts in Italy, Poland and Switzerland and also the single charts in Belgium/Flanders.

In 2018 he released his 2nd studio album 'Mar de Colores' which reached Top 10 across Europe. His single 'La Cintura' became his first Top 10 single in Germany and also reached many charts across Europe. In July 2021 he released his 3rd studio album 'Magia'.
