In this film, produced on the occasion of our 2024 presentation "Correspondence: Lee Ufan and Mark Rothko" in Seoul, Pace's Founder and Chairman Arne Glimcher speaks about the different ways that both artists explore temporality in their paintings. Also featuring commentary from Lee Ufan, this footage of the exhibition sheds light on the the many resonances and intersections—in terms of color, surface, and atmosphere—that cut across these artists’ work.

Ufan doesn’t even have the quality or presence of a Rothko. What a useless meaningless comparison.
