i am a lakers fan, and yes i was one of those fans that hated mike d'antoni as the coach the past couple years.  now that he's gone, i miss him as the coach and want him back.

I don't think that's a universal truth in terms of NBA coaching, but that's a good point. It'll be interesting to see how Brad Stevens works out with his Celts, but he was a very successful college coach, so the respect side of things shouldn't be a problem.
