I live in the Northern part of the Cascadia Sunduction Zone in the Southwestern part of the Canadian province of British Columbia.
This future megaquake will bring exstensive damage and loss of life and sadly will go down in world history of the worst disaster in both Canadian and American history.
Very scary.

I lived in Oregon for more than 20 years, had nightmares of the tsunamis regularly while living there. Also migraines, dizziness, weakness, always sleepy, no energy. Moved away 4 years ago and feel better than ever. Migraines are gone. Something is going on there on the west cost, specifically Willamette Valley.

Well I dont know what this means. What i do know is that 20 years ago a number of people including me, had dreams of mountain size tsunamies washing over Durban in South Africa. The dreams were terrifying and frequent. In one of those dreams, I saw the statute of liberty under water.

Don't rely on dogs to sound the alarm. My neighbor's dog never shuts up.

I was in the 1964 Good Friday earthquake, that lasted almost 5 minutes. I was 15 years of age. I was scared spotless. Then I got really angry, because I didn't think it would ever stop. It finally did. ...😢

I recently read that the Bridge of the Gods collapse in the Columbia Gorge at Cascade Locks was caused by an earthquake 600 years. For people who don't know about that, it is a landslide that caused the entire side of a mountain cliff by the Columbia River to break off. It temporarily dammed the Columbia for months. It's a massive river, so you can see how huge the slide must have been. Even today there is a large island in the river. Right where Bonneville Dam is located.

I've lived in Eugene and Anchorage and experienced mild quakes in both. But ask the people who lived in Anchorage in 1964 and saw whole neighborhoods drop off into the inlet. One man took off running across a field when the quake hit. When he got to the other side he looked back to see the field completely under water. But, they're building houses in 'Earthquake Park' again. You know what they say about ignorance and

What we are seeing is an underwater earthquake off the coast of Oregon. This could truly happen and this displacement could send out a tsunami in all directions. Our West coast could suffer severe damage from a large wave. We have an early warning system in the Pacific Ocean but this earthquake is so close to the shore that such a wave would strike with little or no warning. Japan just had a recent 7.6 earthquake that killed people, and this happened in the same area of the last large earthquake. Be watchful of any large earthquake that could cause a large tsunami

I've lived on the Oregon coast my whole life, prepared, but never in fear. I have mad respect for the power of nature, you have to living in the Pacific Northwest.

As I’m sure you know, your videos of the Northridge quake are actually from the 1989 Loma Prieta quake. The Northridge quake occurred around 5:00 am. while people were asleep.

The Cascadia subduction zone, is a sleeping giant. With all the other faults increasing in activity. Yeah, it’s my therapy something big is on the horizon.

My house was built in 1922 and the foundation has a giant crack in it and leaks constantly… if I’m affected by the earthquake my house will crumble in seconds. My life depends on the early warning system.

I live in the Portland area and didn't know that they had retrofitted two bridges. They built a new walking, light rail bridge a few years ago, that must be one of them. I just want this thing to not happen in my or my families lifetime. It is that devastating to contemplate. The coast would be toast for a long time. There are few roads to the coast and they all go over the coast range where land slides and sinking of the roadway would likely occur cutting them off from the inland area which would have their own problems. I am constantly aware of the ocean when I go down there and am always planning escape routes. Getting to high ground there might be very difficult if not impossible.

Oregon resident here. I have lived most of my life in the Hood River Valley but have also spent a few years living on the Oregon coast. The inevitable Cascadia subduction zone earthquake will be bad, very bad, but you exaggerate more than a bit by saying it will destroy westcoast America.
