Centuries from now, Coley will be revered by scholars as a fandom historian.

For my biggest hyperfixation, that moment was when the creator was doing an art stream, I asked him to draw the protagonist in a maid outfit, and he actually did it. I literally fell to my knees and cried. There were less than 200 people there to witness the process of him drawing it, but Twitter exploded when he posted it a few hours later. To this day, this is the biggest impact I’ve ever had online.

Update: In June 2024, he also drew my self-insert, and that one wasn’t even a request! This drawing didn’t impact the fandom, but for me personally, it sure was a crazy moment you had to be there for! Even though I set it as my pfp on Discord, I still can’t believe that actually happened!

Let's not forget when it took less than a week for the Markiplier fandom to get his podcasts at #1 in the entire world so he would release an OnlyFans

The internet going crazy over the "Reki, my love... of skateboarding" line from Sk8, as well as memeing the ending theme to death.

I will never forget the "Mineta is in love with Deku" reveal. The one and only time a character was "revealed" to be queer and it was the queer fans who were insisting it was a mistranslation (thankfully it was lol)

The mere existence of undertale AU’s was one of the biggest “you had to be there” thing ever. I remember being in the fandom at its peak and.. oh my god, it was insane. There were literal full scale multi-hour movies being made (through animation) about the cinematic Undertale AU multiverse.. if you know, you know..

Iconic fandom moment : the time AO3 crashed because of the last chapter's publication of Heatwaves.

The pain of being almost exclusively in small fandoms so all of the events that completely rocked my world nobody else noticed or cared💀💀

Goncharov (1973) is an incredible masterpiece that must never be forgotten. I still remember sitting in the theater with my bucket of popcorn, crying my eyes out. It was beautiful and soul crushing. I'll never forget it for as long as I live.

Love how each video coley gets closer and closer to being a fandom professor teaching a really weird college course lmao

Tbh every episode of yuri on ice was a “you had to be there” moment whenever it aired each week. And yeah the kiss was wild but the engagement? The post credit banquet photo montage? That was the real good shit. When we realized that the opening was slightly different each week too; that just enhanced the quasi religious experience we were all having. I went to a con the summer that followed and they were airing the first few episodes one night and everyone in the room was singing along. You really just had to be there, it was magical.

THE NAGITO EDIT WAS INSANE I SWEAR IT WAS EVERYWHERE

Let's not forget that one Nagito edit. It dominated the DR fandom for like a MONTH. You could not escape it.

The death of Jason Grace was one of the most unhinged moments of the PJO/HOO fandom. People openly weeping or cheering found around every corner

The time the Sherlock BBC fandom hated the finale episode so much that the entire fandom was half convinced it was a fake episode and had so many conspiracy theories about when the real one would come out.

Or the time Merlin and Arthur embraced in BBC Merlin and the whole fandom changed its profile pic to that scene :D

Also more recently, Taika Waititi’s dads on tour

my personal crazy fandom moment was the splatoon 3 reveal. literally NOBODY saw it coming, everyone was like "lol idk what this is" in the first few seconds but then the inkling popped up and everyone collectively started losing it

a big moment in the DSMP fandom was probably on January 6 when major lore was happening and a lot of people were watching it like at some point Technoblades viewership peaked at over 600, 000 live viewers, and when the lore ended and everyone went on Twitter to talk about it, they instead found out that the USA White House was being stormed
