Midge Ure co-founded Visage with drummer Rusty Egan and vocalist Steve Strange. Following this, he departed to take over Gary Moore's position in Thin Lizzy, Once the tour concluded, Midge Ure honoured a prior commitment and joined Ultravox as John Foxx's replacement. He started his music career with Salvation, later joining Slik in 1974. Ure played a crucial role in Ultravox's success, also working as a producer for artists like Steve Harley. In 1982, he achieved solo success with the UK Top Ten single "No Regrets," a cover of the Walker Brothers' hit. In 1984, Midge Ure and Bob Geldof formed Band Aid to aid famine relief in Ethiopia, creating the hit single "Do They Know It's Christmas?" featuring British music stars, selling millions of copies during the 1984 Christmas season.

I am a heavy metal and hard rock fan but l could listen to this all day. I saw midge ure live in Melbourne when he did the Vienna tour a few years ago and it blew my mind. Stands as one of the best gigs I have ever seen. He is a musical genius.

I was a total hard rock, metal head growing up in the 80’s but loved me some Ultravox, Hurting era Tears for Fears and New Order. Local Aussie/Kiwi bands holding it down too like Mi-Sex and Icehouse. Late 70’s, early 80’s synths have such a great sound. They always mix well with electric guitar
