Tech giants Microsoft, Amazon to lay off thousands | Rush Hour

Tech layoffs were up 649% in 2022, according to Challenger, Gray & Christmas, Inc. Amazon, Microsoft and Salesforce recently announced thousands of layoffs. Meanwhile, the Treasury Department is warning that the U.S. will hit its debt ceiling in less than 24 hours if Congress doesn’t take action. Dan Rocatto, finance professor at the University of San Diego, weighs in.
