Показать описание
This video looks at some different approaches to cut the golf award model. We start by creating a basic roughing toolpath and then look to create the 3D finishing toolpath. Using the power of the toolpath preview we also look to change the tool and recalculate the toolpath for better results. To finish we show how to VCarve the text on the banner in the part by projecting a toolpath onto the 3D model.

With the Rest Machining offset--what does "offset" actually mean, and how does it affect final dimensions of a feature? If I am machining a model with critical dimensions, does adding an "offset" to the Rest Machining settings affect the final size of the machined object? I know that for a roughing pass and a normal finish pass, the boundary offset leaves extra material. Is the rest machining offset the same thing? It is presented as a "smoothing" setting? But no mention of if it also means the final model is + 0.020".
