I am a human with iron deficient anemia and it is a genuine struggle to get the amount of iron I need... When I was pregnant with my second child, I was on enough iron prescribed to me by my doctor that it would kill a normal person... Of course all of the necessary blood tests were done before I was given 200 mg of iron.. I had to take two to three of them a day depending on how light-headed I would get.. I tried to keep it just to two.. ate a lot of eggs and peanut butter...

We really need to improve our education system, it's straight garbage.

So like when I was a kid this was like... A kid science experiment where were learnt about how humans need diffrent stuff like iron, like I had multiple books that included mashing cereal and rubbing a magnet on it as an activity. And did it in school. Do people walk around as an adult and not know they need iron or that there are iron enriched food????

Iron in food should not be magnetic; it should be present in chemical forms that are absorbable and usable by the human body

Yea i agree with most people who are concerned about metal shards and not some forms that are better

Bruh. There is in fact iron in baby food (and regular adult food) for nutritional (and naturally occurring) purposes (yes humans need iron) but this vid is straight bs and fear campaigning

Can i ask how they got Iron into the cereals, bcs my friends are thinking that it literally is made from shaving iron into the cereals and oatmeals

This is clearly not your area of expertise.
Elemental iron is the powder seen here and is not absorbed anywhere near as much as "heme" and "non-heme" iron found naturally in meats and plants.

Elemental iron is used because it is cheap and gets the same treatment as far as nutrition labels go

Lazy parents buy baby food. It's easy to do yourself, you cook veg, blend it, freeze in icecube trays, knock out into bags and just pick out a selection and heat it up.

But how about the baby’s kidney? Do those metals affect negatively to kidney? Like a stone in kidney because of that pieces of metal

Yes… it’s iron, a necessary dietary nutrient. They add it to prevent anemia.

What they’re talking about is the fact that there was metals found in these foods. Babies were getting sick. My son was a baby during that time and I had to research this.
