Yesterday morning, our Communications Division started its transition of utilizing a brand new 911 system: Next Generation 911.
This system is equipped with new features such as advanced location services, automation, as well as the ability to send photos and stream live video straight to our call takers and dispatchers. These new additions will help our Communications Division personnel continue to perform their duties efficiently.
The transition is truly a milestone as it is the largest replacement of 911 technology in 35 years. We will always implement state-of-the-art technology that will help us serve our community at the highest level.
