Today we talk about Saint Apollonia of Alexandria, one of the martyrs depicted in the retablo of the Holy Christ (1533) on display at the Antiquarium Arborense.
In 249 A.D., during a popular revolt against Christians, Apollonia refused to utter impious words against God and so she had her teeth pulled out.
