I thank you Dale and Mr Smith for reopening North Wilkesboro, the great racing I've been longing to see again is coming around the bend in due time. Race tracks have a special luster to them but this jewel is higher than that!!! IT'S TIMELESS AS THE STORIES WE ALL HAVE LISTENED TO ABOUT THE PAST RACES HELD AT NORTH WILKESBORO, AGE HAS MADE THIS EXPERIENCE A VERY SWEET MOMENT.

Years ago before I knew that SMI owned that track I visited it and the manager there was gracious enough to allow us to look around and I told him then that I wished they could fix it up again and he told me then that everyone that visited the track said the same thing! I’m glad it’s finally done!

Dale was one of the main influences bringing back Wilkesboro. He has a love for history, NASCAR history, alot if us do, we need to bring back the champions, the legends, the golden age cars. Dale Sr. Was the last of the old guard, he stood for NASCAR, the way he raced, believed every race was important, not this crap they call race for the chase! When Sr. Passed alot of fans were hoping Jr. could keep the true NASCAR around, but he was young, just lost his dad, tried to go on with his life, I never thought less of him but I had my faith he would do what needs to be done, and he did look at Wilkesboro, Dale Earnhardt Jr. I believe is ready to take up the fight to bring back our truly beloved NASCAR!
