How to Create a Facebook Account - Sign Up & Customize Profile

Want to join Facebook? Watch this step-by-step tutorial to learn how to sign up for an account, add friends, add information to your profile, and customize the look of your profile with photos.

Facebook will send a verification code to your email address. Open your email inbox in a new browser tab, and find the email from Facebook. Take note of the code listed in the email, then go back to your Facebook tab and type in the code you received. Click Continue. You should see confirmation that your account has been verified. Click Okay.

To finish off creating your account, you can add a profile picture. Click Take a Photo to snap a new picture using your computer’s webcam, or click Add Photo to upload an image from your computer.

After that, type into the search box labelled “Find People You Know” to search for people to add as friends.

To further customize your profile, click your name in the top menu bar to go to your profile page. Click Add Cover Photo to customize your page’s banner image. You can upload one from your computer, create a collage, or select artwork from Facebook’s library of options.

To add more information to your profile, click About. Here you can add information about where you work, what school you went to, where you live, and more. Click on the different categories on the left to see more customization options.

Hi there.
I'm trying to make a email up at the moment & am not able to! Everytime I try as it's loading up it takes me to a page that says 'something went wrong, refresh page' so I refresh it & it takes me back on that page.. There has been times when it has let me have a email account & other times it's difficult. I only want it for facebook & also when I create a facebook account up it will disable my account right after I've created it.. what's that all about? I would really appreciate any help on either of these.
