That was the peak period of ODI era. For me 2003 was the most painful WC. Although I was in class 3 at that time but I still have some clear memories of that world cup, final match especially. When Australia scored massive 350 something in the finals, entire locality was bashing and blaming Ganguly for not opting to bat first after winning the toss. And when India came out to chase the mammoth total Glenn McGrath got rid off the Master with a short ball and my mother switched off the :^) good memories.
