Captured at Seal River Heritage Lodge, this encounter highlights how every polar bear experience is different. Some days, the polar bears will pass by from a few hundred meters away. Other times, like in this encounter, a curious bear decides to come closer. While we never get closer than 100 meters, sometimes the bears decide to close that distance themselves.

For 10 minutes, this polar bear laid in front of our group, watching us closely and catching our scent, before getting up and moving on.
