Been a clowncore fan for nearly 5 years now but ill never forget the first time I heard it, woke up at 3am to this amazing song screaming from the TV on adult swim!

The confusion of the audio/visual along with being half asleep was crazy.
It wouldn't work if the music was rubbish much like gwar wouldn't.

Even people who think its trash can't deny that change at 1.00 is beautifully done

The album was supposed to be a joke by two musical prodigies. Is it weird that I'm taking it seriously? Because it sounds amazing in some capacities.

Equal parts abrasive, absurd and pure unadulterated genius, Clown Core is avant garde musical art brought to you by the talented minds of Sam Gendel and Louis Cole. Or at least, I think it's them; I can't tell for sure; what, with the masks and all.

In any case, this album spans the gamut from chaotic, death-metal derived blast beats and growls, to eruptions of psychedelic bebop saxophone solos over warbling bassy synths and hyper groovy drum beats in obscure time signatures. Never taking itself too seriously, the album is shot through with farts and nose-honks, and the horrifying gibbered shrieks of what I can only assume are damned interstellar clowns.

Mostly noise, punctuated with sections of genius that I always wish lasted much longer. But that contrast between chaos and genius is what makes those incredible sections worth digging for.

Not for the faint of heart or weak of constitution. This album will tickle those who crave different and love proggy.

WTF! Why is this so creepy and good at the same time? What a great play. Playing more than 2 instruments at one time, in a cramped toilet, in the middle of nowhere, wearing horrifying clown mask, blurting screams that I have no idea what it means (thanks for the subs), and different music styles, here is my thumb. Great!
