Converting an EXE Software Install to MSI Software Install

FYI, you're not converting an exe into msi, just discovering where the actual msi is. Such a misleading information!! :/

In a true conversion you would use a repackaging tool to capture the setup.exe, which will then output an MSI.

In your example what happens if you extract the .msi from the temp folder and  by pass the setup.exe, but infact the setup.exe is also executing processes. Like for an example the project used to build the setup.exe was an Installscript/MSI project type?

Right click on your exe file select extract and If you are lucky you'll find your msi there
