My school of almost years did not; adm tried to write me up because I would have my class sit outside the bathroom while I went. The bathroom was by the adm office.

My school does this, everyday in between periods teachers will ask a staff member to watch there class while they go print papers, use the bathroom, run out to there cars, ect. It’s so awesome to have someone that can just instantly fill in for them. ^^

I am teaching 7 periods this year. The ONLY chance I get to go to the bathroom is at lunch, IF I don’t have lunch duty (not kidding) and AFTER all the kids have been dismissed, IF I don’t have bud duty. 😳

Everytime i see /hear a teacher talk about not going to the bathroom, i think about how even though there were teacher restrooms I don't ever remember seeing a teacher comjng in or out of one. Nor have i been in a class and teacher left to go to the bathroom.. I wonder what they did

This is great, I totally agree. I also totally agree that the state of education is so far gone that this is a drop in the bucket. I had administrators who came around offering these. But the school was so insanely toxic that it didn't amount to much. I got by for decades before experiencing this. Sometimes my neighbor teacher and me would use the buddy system. Sometimes I'd text a teacher whom I knew had a co teacher in a nearby classroom, sometimes I'd just flag down an adult in the hall. Teachers have learn to provide for ourselves. Administrators need to learn how to treat us like the highly educated professionals that they hired.

Just got an email from superintendent that next year we won’t have TAs due to no $ like we ever had $$😢. Many of us have back to back schedules and having someone relieve us to RR would increase our happiness a bunch! I had a walk thru eval today and asked AP if she could give me a RR break. She smiled and said yes, super grateful. 😂but what other profession becomes grateful for a RR break?

Yeah, remember when kids, and teacher got 2 15min breaks and an hour for lunch? Because my kid also gets no breaks and has about 15min to eat his lunch. He’s a slow eater so at best gets a few bites and back to class. It’s absolutely ridiculous.
