Edifier Stax Spirit S5-Bluetooth Headphone I Can't Stop Listening To!-Honest Audiophile Impressions

I am not much of a bluetooth user and haven't been overly impressed with most bluetooth headphones. But the Stax Spirit S5 changed my mind.

Reviews are what lead me to the S3 in the first place and I haven't regretted them at all! The only issues I have are the creaky hinge and the lack of EQ options in the accompanying app to round off the treble a bit for the rock music I listen to a lot.

Can't wait for my S5 to arrive, so I can hear the difference! 😊

I have the Spirit S3. It is great, but the frame sounds like your typical Halloween crypt door opening as creaky as it is. Sounds like the 5 doesn't have that issue. Great to know. Another fabulous review as always. I

It is a great review for the sound. I received this one and immediately noticed that this one sounds great out of the box. For the individual acoustic instrumental sound representation in LDAC highest quality mode, I felt that these far exceeded Dali IO-12 with normal aptx (not adaptive) codec sound. For other headphones that I have or used to own, it was not easy to exceed the level of IO-12 with their highest codecs.

But with the highest LDAC mode in S5, bluetooth connection is very unstable even in very close distance bw source device and S5.

Since these cans does not support ANCs, the relatively lower maximum sound volume, and weak clamping forces, utilization is limited, but I want to rank these to 2nd position after IO-12.

For the discounted price ($399) within BF sales, it may be the best cans.

Awesome review! I listened to every minute of it. 👍👍 Btw, edifier also released the Stax Spirit S10 earbuds with planar magnetic drivers. Even though they're much smaller than the S5, they come with a lot more features. 😅 I would love to hear your take on them. 😊

Great review. You touched on how the passive noise isolation isn't fantastic but how well do they keep music *in* so you won't be bothering people around you in an environment like a relatively quiet office?
